How to Purchase Items on Consignor.ca
Items listed on Consignor.ca will include options for either submitting a bid, or submitting a best-offer along with the option to purchase an item immediately for the buy-it-now price.

Purchasing Overview

All sales last for a determined period of time.
Sales are scheduled with a start date and an end date. Full pricing, details and images for a listed item are typically available a few days before the start date.

All items are available for immediate purchase.
At any point between the opening and closing dates of a sale an item can be purchased immediately for the listed price.

No Buyer Premiums
Consignor.ca does not charge the purchaser a buyers premium. The amount bid on the item will be the final sale price exclusive of taxes or shipping/delivery costs.

Sales are secured by means of a 5% deposit at time of purchase.
When an item is successfully sold a 5% deposit based on the purchase price is charged to a supplied credit card number to secure the purchase.
How to bid on an item

Submit a bid
Registered users are provided the option to place a bid by clicking on the "bid now" button found on all fixed-price auction items. Bids progress under predefined increments. Click here to register

Set a maximum bid
A bidder may also set a maximum bid. When a maximum bid is set our system will automatically bid for you up until your defined maximum amount is reached. Maximum bids are processed in the order of which they are received.

Bidding Increments
Bidding typically begins at the reserve price and advances using the following increments:

| $500 - $1,000 | $50.00 |
| $1,000 - $5,000 | $100.00 |
| $5,000 - $10,000 | $250.00 |
| $10,000 - $30,000 | $500.00 |
| $30,000 - $50,000 | $1000.00 |
| $50,000 - $100,000 | $2500.00 |
| $100,000+ | $5000 |

When an item is purchased a 5% deposit is charged to the credit card number provided and the consignor is informed by email of the sale. A Mayberry Fine Art employee will then be in contact to make arrangements for shipping/pickup and provide full payment or financing options.
Making an Immediate Purchase

Making an Offer to Purchase

To submit an offer click the "Offer" button on the item listing.
Registered users of Consignor.ca are provided the option to submit an offer-to-purchase on any item listed in a sale. Click here to register

Offers are reviewed by the item consignor.
When an offer is made the consignor of that item is sent an email where they have the option to accept or decline the offer.

All offers expire after 3 business days.
If an offer has not been responded to after 3 business days it will automatically expire.

Review and get updates on your offer.
Registered users who have submitted an offer will receive updates by email on the offer status and can also sign in to Consignor.ca and review any offers which are outstanding.
